Nostalgia overwhelmed me when I returned to Santa Monica Beach. It was my go-to beach when I was younger, and it'd been five years since I last visited.

A day filled with arcade games, a roller coaster, sand crabs, and a miserably failed attempt at watching the sunset.
The day was great. We spent it roaming the beach and enjoying each other's company before summer's end.

I'm really going to miss him.
